Wolf Parade

What pure awesomeness I witnessed the other night. If you aren't familiar with Wolf Parade, do yourself a frickin' favor. Here's a post-Zeppelin, post-Modest Mouse, Beatles set up band that puts on one hard rocking show. The two lead singers Spencer Krug and Dan Boeckner bring two completely different styles of vocals and song writing. They build huge anthems of heartache and the real and figurative ghosts we have.

The new album, At Mount Zoomer, is pretty mind blowing. The last two songs, if I can figure out how to post them, are great. I recommend them played really loud. Even better, hear them play it live. I'm going to try to make a Muxtape like Darren did. I'll put those songs on there if I can.

Wolf Parade slays.

  1. I am jealous. I went through a brief Wolf Parade obsession the winter of 2006 and I am happy to be reminded of their hyperactive power. I'll have to pick up some of their newer stuff.
